Background Info: Madson has played five years of volleyball, four of those as an outside hitter or right side hitter at the high school level. She competes currently as a six-rotation outside hitter for Upper St. Clair and serves as a co-captain on the team. She is a member of NHS and is a MYP certificate holder. Quotes from Upper St. Clair coach Kim Manning: “Gigi excels at leading her team with a quiet confidence and persistent determination. She never lets bad plays frazzle her, and she continues to be a very coachable player. Having Gigi play all six rotations provides USC with a consistent steadying voice on the court throughout each match. She is a key factor in our success thus far this season, and I am excited to see how the rest of her senior year goes with USC.”
