**update to Bob Smith email on 6/20/22

We wanted to alert everyone to a few changes for the 2022/2023 school year.

The PIAA CIPPE has changed for the 2022/2023 school year. I have attached the updated version to this email. The 2022/2023 PIAA CIPPE has also been updated on Healthy Roster and will be available for parents to fill out digitally starting 6/1/2022.
A message from our Athletic Trainers regarding Healthy Roster, "many of you have received notifications from Healthy Roster that you have documents that are expiring. While those documents are expiring, and will expire on 5/31/2022, they are not eligible to be filled out for the 2022/2023 school year until 6/1/2022. Any document that you have already completed will need to be completed again on or after 6/1/2022. We sincerely apologize for any confusion or additional work this has caused! Moving forward, we are working with Healthy Roster to set up the system in a way that this does not happen again. Starting on 6/1/2022 you should receive a message from Healthy Roster that you have missing documents requiring your attention; these are the documents that you will need to complete. These documents will be found in the “Missing Documents” section in Healthy Roster. All documents, except PIAA CIPPE Section 7, will be available to fill out digitally either via the app or website. PIAA CIPPE Section 7 will need to be uploaded after it is completed by a medical doctor. There are no other changes to Healthy Roster. Any new parents can reach out to directly to Bob Smith (M: 412.260.9118 or E: rsmith02@uscsd.k12.pa.us), while Brittney is on maternity leave, to get their child set up on Healthy Roster."
Lastly we are using a new system for baseline concussion testing this year. I have attached a letter to this email that explains the new system and the reason for the change. With this new system, student-athletes will be able to download the necessary app to their phone to perform the baseline test, under the supervision of the Athletic Trainer. Once the test is complete, the results are stored on a secured drive and the student can delete the app from their phone. We are discussing the best course of action with all fall coaches to administer the test.
We know this is a lot of information, probably more then you anticipated, so if you have any questions please let us know. We have a new Athletic Trainer joining us this fall. His name is Bob Smith and you can reach him at M: 412.260.9118 or E: rsmith02@uscsd.k12.pa.us
We will have another Athletic Trainer joining us soon and will send out their information when they officially start at USC.
All the best,

Danny
